the good of this world and the hereafter
قالَ الباقرُ علیهِ السّلام:
مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ أُعْطِىَ قَلْباً شَاکِراً وَ لِسَاناً ذَاکِراً وَ جَسَداً عَلَى الْبَلَاءِ صَابِراً وَ زَوْجَةً صَالِحَةً إِلَّا وَ قَدْ أُعْطِىَ خَیْرَ الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَة.
imam baqir (peace be upon him):none of gods servants has been given a thankful heart, a praying tongue, an enduring body in the wake of difficulties, and a virtuous wife unless they have been given the good of this world and the hereafter.

alongside the one who has a thankful heart, a praying tongue, and an enduring body in the wake of calamities, a virtuous wife is needed so that he may be provided with the good of this world and the next. what would be better than the good of this world and the hereafter put together?
